Keegan David Braun Mc Bride Keegan McBride is the Manager of GovAiLab at the School of Information Technologies, a Doctoral candidate at the Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance, and a Junior Research Fellow at the Department of Software Science; all three being based at the Tallinn University of Technology. Additionally, Keegan works as the Chief Technical Consultant for the Estonian Open Government Data Portal, a data visualization consultant for Statistics Estonia, and is currently working with the OECD's Observatory of Public Sector Innovation to develop a report on the usage of Artifical Intelligence in Government. Publishing and researching within the field of electronic government, his work aims to build a bridge between information technology and public administration. Keegan is an active participant in many conferences, such as EGOV-CeDEM-EPART, DGO, and HICSS where he was named a HICSS Doctoral Fellow. Keegan has also been active as a reviewer for the international scientific journals Government Information Quarterly (GIQ), Information Polity (IP), Springer's Public Administration and Information Technology series, as well as numerous high-level e-Government and Information Systems conferences (such as ICIS). Keegan’s background is in both IT, previously working as a backend integration engineer, and social sciences with his educational background lying largely within the field of political science and public administration. At Tallinn University of Technology, Keegan has been actively involved in preparing and submitting research proposals at the EU level (Horizon2020, CEF, REC), at the national level, and at the institutional level.
